Lindsey Kaler, Ph.D.

I am an Assistant Professor of special education at the University at Albany in the School of Education (Department of Educational & Counseling Psychology). My research interests center on the intersection of special education and education policy. More specifically, my research focuses on special education labor markets (e.g., paraeducators) and improving service delivery outcomes for students with disabilities.

Prior to my time at the University at Albany, I was a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University's Annenberg Institute from 2024-2026. In May 2024, I graduated with my Ph.D. in special education from Boston University. Prior to my time at BU, I was a special education teacher in Washington, DC and Arlington, VA. I received my B.A. and M.T. degrees from the University of Virginia.​
