I am Postdoctoral Research Associate at Brown University, where I am jointly associated with the Annenberg Institute for School Reform and Watson Institute for International and Public Affairs. My research interests center on the intersection of special education and education policy. More specifically, my research focuses on special education labor markets, the impact of trauma exposure on students with disabilities, and improving outcomes for students with emotional and behavioral disabilities.
In May 2024, I graduated with my Ph.D. in special education from Boston University. My dissertation research was an examination of the paraeducator labor market in two states. Prior to my time at BU, I was a special education teacher in Washington, DC and Arlington, VA. I received my B.A. and M.T. degrees from the University of Virginia.
